The History Of Ariete in the World of Coffee

Ariete in the world of coffee

Based in the heart of Tuscany, a region synonymous with creativity as far back as the Renaissance, Ariete has been designing and producing small electrical appliances for the kitchen and home since 1964. Entrepreneurial spirit and innovation have been the keys to the company’s success, seeing it go from strength to strength over the last sixty years.

The beginning: the first Ariete espresso machine

True to form, Ariete launched its first espresso machine in 1981. That very first machine was the Centro Caffè mod.305. This sturdy and robust machine produced professional standard coffee thanks to its patented Thermocream system coffee filter that created espressos topped with a thick, full-bodied crema, just like those Italians across the country are used to enjoying at their neighbourhood bar. These unique features gave Ariete the opportunity to conquer a large slice of the market over the years that followed, consolidating the brand’s reputation. In 1988 Ariete continued innovating by launching the dedicated Mister Cappuccino milk frother, which was an immediate commercial success.

Focusing on the design of coffee machines

With the advent of the 21st century, Ariete began to combine the undeniable technical expertise of its machines with a notable refinement in terms of style and design. One of the most successful examples of this approach was embodied by the Caffè Retrò range, a fully metallic vintage style machine launched in 2003. The first model was issued as a silver version before being developed in range of different colours, such as red, black and eye-catching orange.

Evolving every day: different types of coffee with one machine

From then on, the brand’s focus on coffee continued to evolve gradually as new models were designed and developed. Every specialised machine shared the common goal of producing the very best of a number of different types of coffee, not just espresso, but also americano, moka and filter coffee, resulting in a complete range of machines aimed at coffee lovers with varying tastes all over the world.

In today’s market, Ariete positions itself as brand devoted to studying the thousands of different nuances that the world of coffee has to offer. The company’s ambitious goal is to be identified as a brand that crosses many different markets, aiming to satisfy both consumers looking for maximum value for money and those keen to take home a cutting-edge coffee machine with advanced digital technology and top of the range performance.
